Too many obsessions to name to be honest. I post a conglomerate of movies, music, Harry Potter, Lady Gaga, and just miscellaneous ratchetness so the follow button should be lookin REAL tempting by now. |

9. X-Men: First Class
Not gonna lie, this had to be one of the biggest surprises of the year for me. I mean, I have only LOVED one of the four X-Men movies before this one, so I wasn’t expecting much. But I got not only the best X-Men movie, but one of the greatest movies of the year and one of my favorite all time superhero movies. It had everything you could possibly want in a summer movie, and enough merit to land it among the great movies of 2011. It was thrilling, well-written, well-made, funny, greatly-acted, entertaining, emotional, relatable, and clever. The action was extremely impressive, and it delivered on all accounts. I really loved this movie, and its cast was just brilliant. My only problems with it were the villains. The only thing separating it from entering Batman and Spiderman levels of flawlessness was the fact that the villains weren’t all that great. Sure Magneto is a great villain in the other movies, but here I was rooting for him way too much, and those random guys were a mess. But these are minor problems, and I still loved it.
Best Thing About This Movie: The whole Cuban Missile Crisis scene was just brilliant and I really loved when Magneto and Xavier were finding other mutants.
Worst Thing About This Movie: If only it had stronger antagonists!
